Short answer: The best female darts players combine consistency, scoring power and experience at the highest level. Players like Fallon Sherrock, Lisa Ashton and Beau Greaves have proven themselves in major tournaments and continue to raise the level of women’s darts.
When you search for female darts players, one name often stands out first, Fallon Sherrock. The English player gained worldwide recognition by competing against men on the biggest stages and delivering strong performances.
But women’s darts is much broader than just one player. Over the years, multiple top players have shaped the sport and helped it grow rapidly in popularity.
Fallon Sherrock is one of the most influential female darts players in recent years. She made history by becoming the first woman to win matches at the PDC World Championship against male players.
Her run to the third round and strong performances in events like the Grand Slam of Darts showed that female players can compete at the highest level. She even earned a place in the PDC Order of Merit.
For many fans, Sherrock represents women’s darts in the same way top male players represent the men’s game. She has played a key role in increasing visibility and opportunities for female players.
Besides Fallon Sherrock, there are several other top players who have achieved major success. Lisa Ashton is a multiple time world champion and one of the most experienced players in the women’s game.
Mikuru Suzuki and Anastasia Dobromyslova have also won world titles and consistently performed at a high level. Beau Greaves is one of the biggest young talents and has already won major titles at a very young age.
These players have helped raise the standard in women’s darts and continue to push the level higher.
Beau Greaves is widely seen as the biggest rising star in women’s darts. She became world champion at a young age and quickly established herself as one of the most dominant players.
She has also performed strongly in the PDC Women’s Series and regularly competes in open tournaments. In doing so, she made history by becoming the first woman to win a PDC title in open competition against male players.
Her rapid development and consistent results make her one of the most exciting players to watch in the coming years.
Women’s darts has its own ranking systems, such as the PDC Women’s Series Order of Merit. This allows female players to compete within their own structure while still having opportunities to enter mixed competitions.
Players can also qualify for broader tournaments and even attempt to earn a PDC Tour Card through Q School. This keeps the pathway open to compete at the highest level.
Although prize money is still lower compared to the men’s game, the structure is improving and the gap is expected to decrease over time.
The rules and equipment in darts are exactly the same for everyone. Female players use the same dartboards, darts, shafts and flights as male players.
Most players start with darts between 21 and 27 grams, with 24 grams being a common choice. Over time, players adjust weight based on preference and playing style.
Lighter darts are often combined with longer shafts for more stability, while heavier darts usually work better with shorter shafts. Grip is also important, especially for beginners who benefit from more control.
While the technical specifications are the same, there are darts designed around female players. These are often based on the exact setup used by professionals.
Popular examples include the Fallon Sherrock Darts, the Lisa Ashton Darts and the Target Beau Greaves G1 Swiss Point 90% Darts.
These sets combine professional level materials with designs inspired by top players. They are suitable for both beginners and experienced players looking to improve their game.
