Shortest answer: Luke Littler plays with the Target Luke Littler G1 90% Swiss Point in 22 grams. His setup consists of straight barrels made of 90% tungsten with a pixel grip across the full barrel, short shafts and NO6 flights. Littler throws with a remarkably fast, short action where he barely pauses in his backswing.
Luke Littler broke through in 2024 as the youngest ever World Championship finalist at 16 years old. In early 2025, he became the youngest world champion in PDC history. His nickname is The Nuke. Despite his young age, Littler throws with a mature, efficient technique that stands out for its speed and consistency.
Below you can read exactly how Littler throws, which darts he uses and what you can learn from his setup.
Littler throws with a short, fast motion. His backswing is minimal. He barely brings the dart backwards before releasing. This makes his throw compact and repeatable. His release is early and he keeps his wrist relatively stiff. The power comes mainly from the forearm.
What stands out is his speed at the oche. Littler picks up his darts quickly, aims briefly and throws. There is little hesitation in his rhythm. This speed helps him stay in a flow and prevents doubt from disrupting his motion. His tempo is comparable to players like Michael Smith, but even more direct.
Littler uses a three-point grip: thumb, index finger and middle finger. The thumb sits on the underside of the barrel, the index finger on top and the middle finger stabilises from the side. The ring finger barely touches the barrel, if at all.
Littler plays with the Target Luke Littler G1 90% Swiss Point. Here are the specs:
Tungsten: 90%

Barrel: straight with pixel grip
Barrel length (22g): 50.00 mm
Barrel width (22g): 6.50 mm
Balance: centre weighted
Points: Target Swiss Points (interchangeable)
The combination of 90% tungsten and 22 grams gives a slim, controlled barrel. The straight shape suits his grip at the front of the barrel. The Swiss Point system allows you to swap points without damaging the barrel. Littler plays with short Target Pro Grip shafts and Luke Littler NO6 flights.
Swiss Points are interchangeable dart points that you can unscrew and replace with a key. The advantage: you can adjust point length and type without buying new barrels. Littler regularly switches points depending on the board and conditions. Standard dart points are permanently fixed in the barrel. With Swiss Points, a thread inside the barrel holds the point. This gives flexibility, but the system is exclusive to Target.
Littler plays with darts from Target. He signed a long-term sponsorship deal with the brand in 2024. Target has since released several models under his name, including the G1, the G1 Prodigy, the Loadout and the World Champion 2025 edition.
Littler has said that speed feels natural to him. He does not think long about his throw. By throwing quickly he stays in his rhythm and prevents doubt from disrupting his motion. This is not a deliberate technical choice but a style he has developed from a young age. Speed works for Littler because his grip, release and follow-through are virtually identical with every throw. Without that consistency, throwing fast would actually lead to more errors.
Luke Littler's technique is built on speed and simplicity: a short backswing, a compact grip at the front of the barrel and a lightning-fast release. His Target Luke Littler G1 90% Swiss Point in 22 grams is designed around that playing style, with a straight barrel and pixel grip along the full length. Want to experience how his setup feels?
