Condor Flight Systems: More innovation from Japan

Condor Axe flights for maximum performance, thin and aerodynamic.

Condor is a new Japanese manufacturer in the darts world, which has made a name for itself with their 2-in-1 flight and shaft system Condor Axe flights. A number of big names, including Peter Wright, have already played with this new development bolted to the barrel. But what makes the Condor Flight so different?

What are the Condor Flight systems?

The Condor Axe Flight and Condor Zero Stress Series are a flight and shaft joined together, something that would normally be two separate parts. This means that with Condor Flights you make darts a lot sturdier. This has its advantages over the classic dart design in several ways.

First, the choice of materials and construction of the flights make the product more durable: according to Condor darts, you can throw it intensively three hours a day for three weeks before slight damage occurs. An average flight would have long since been replaced here. Of course it depends on the individual and how they throw, but the result leaves little to be desired.

Because the flight and shaft are one unit, your flights also sit at a stable 90° angle and do not fall out of the shaft. In addition, some material has been removed from the shaft compared to a normal shaft. This creates extra space for other darts to fly past the shaft, which prevents "Robin Hoods" and allows closer grouping of the darts.

Handling Condor Flights darts

To ensure that you can dart with Condor Flight systems for as long as possible, without having to buy new ones, Condor itself has shared some tips:

  • Exerting excessive force at the barrel to screw the shaft in can lead to unnecessary damage. Therefore, be sure to mount the shaft with as little force as possible, as this is more than enough.

  • In order to maintain as consistent a shape as possible and to minimize adjustments to your darts, it is wise to pull the darts out of the board by the barrel. Pulling the flights or barrel can cause bending of this part.

  • Because of the Condor Cut technology, the dart hangs in the air better than with regular barrels and shafts. Therefore, it is recommended that you throw a little lighter than you normally would.

  • To avoid over-tightening the Condor flight to the barrel, you can use rubber O-rings to prevent over-tightening.
