Dartboard Height

When hanging your dartboard, it’s important to first determine where you’ll be throwing from. If you’ll be standing on the ground while throwing, measure the dartboard height from the ground. However, if you’re standing on a raised platform, measure the dartboard height from that platform. The key is that the dartboard must be exactly 1.73 meters higher than the surface from which you are throwing.

Dartboard Height and Distance

Once the dartboard is set at the correct height of 1.73 meters, it’s equally important to ensure the throwing distance is accurate. Throwing from too short or too long a distance can affect your technique. The proper throwing distance for a dartboard is 2.37 meters from the front of the dartboard. To double-check, you can also measure diagonally from the bullseye. The diagonal distance from the center of the bullseye to the ground should be 2.93 meters.
